Good Question! Our large center database contains shopping or retail centers that are "large" based on GLA (>50,000 square feet) or the number of stores in the center (>25). Our large center database is also biased toward shopping and retail centers (as opposed to business, mixed-use or business/financial/health centers). Most of these latter centers can be found in the Small Center Database.

Note that as centers move from traditional "shopping centers" to "retail and service centers" to mixed-used business and service centers with limited retail there is a large "gray area" around the question of what constitutes a "retail centers." We have elected to be fairly comprehensive here so our centers range from largely retail to largely business-oriented with little retail.
